How I miss my ever present girlfriend, gertrude

Who is she you ask? She's got four wheels, loose where it counts and

grip where I need it.

Gertrude, my ever present girlfriend is my skateboard. And I rode her

for the frist time in ages today.

Damn it felt good. Hell she even was even ridden by the guy at the

greek corner, that slut.

Anyways this isnt about why she's called gertrude, or how she's a

slut. Its about doing those things you miss doing, how they feel once

you do them again after not doing it for along time.

I havent skated in so long. So tonight was a treat. I wasn't having

the greatest day and going out on my deck was something I should have

done days earlier when Christian told me to. However I went out

tonight and I will again tomorrow. The feeling was pure bliss. I can't

wait again.

Doesn't matter how long Im out, how sweaty I get, how much pain it

causes, I love going out for a solid skate.

So my advice is. If you haven't done something in some time but you

used to do it all the time and love it, go out and take the time to do

it tomorrow. You'll really appreciate it.
